Thought it could be interesting to create a topic where people who are new to the sport can ask more experienced riders who have been to most of the spots around Cape Town for advice regarding these spots such as rider level, best wind direction, best tide etc. since most of the smaller spots don’t have lots of information or the information online is very vague and generic.
Interested to know the best conditions for Misty Cliffs, went there a week ago and wind conditions seeemed a bit too offshore, think it was SE, so maybe southerly is the best?
Also never kited the spots in and around Hermanus, anyone have details?
Was wondering about Muizenberg, Pringle Bay and Brandvlei Dam? Anyone have details about these spots? I know Muizenberg is a hot spot but was just wondering about safety of equipment in cars etc.
Thanks
A few spots here https://suntrax.co.za/kitesurfing-windsurfing-beaches-of-cape-town/
Full Spot details available https://www.kitesurfhermanus.co.za/ from Pringle Bay all the way to Struisbaai. Loads of spots. When I have time I post details of wind conditions and best directions.
